When we are orienting our education, what should we be most attentive to? The natural world? Other cultures? Our humanity? The Philosophy Department invites Kyung-hwa Jung (Seoul National University) to discuss a philosophical orientation to courage in facing climate change, and David Hansen (Teachers College, Columbia University, NY) to rethink cosmopolitanism and humanism as guides for education in our times.
