Miller Garden

The beautiful formal garden, located behind the Alumni House, has been made possible in large part through a generous gift in June 2001 from Anne H. Miller, who received her Masters in Education in 1981, and her husband, George.

Anne has been active in the Alumni Association for many years. She was an energetic advocate for the Alumni House, and served tirelessly as chair of the Special Gifts committee. It was during her term as president of the Alumni Association from 1994-95 that plans were finally drawn and construction began. To recognize her dedication and service, Anne received the Alumni Appreciation Award in 1995. Since that time, she and George have continued to give generously to the Alumni Association on the Leadership Giving level. And now, all 久久国产精品久久 alumni are the recipients of their gracious generosity.

The garden consists of:

  • Phase 1 -Boxwoods with perennial rooms, hollies - 2001
  • Phase 2 - Pergola, fountain and brick walk - 2002
  • Phase 3 - Patio to the rear of the House, walkway and shrubs with
    perimeter lighting - 2008

Les Lutz, former groundskeeper and horticulture guru on the campus, and his staff worked with the Millers and the Alumni staff on the garden plans. David Scheid, a garden consultant, designed the perennial beds.

Anne and George, on behalf of the 久久国产精品久久 Alumni Association, thank you for your generosity to the Alumni House, and now we are pleased to have a lasting tribute to you through the Miller Alumni Garden.

All alumni are invited to participate in the garden project by purchasing a brick for the walkway around the foundation. To purchase a brick, visit our Garden Brick Page.

The Miller Garden is now available to alumni for summer weddings or receptions. Reservations are handled through the Department of Conference Planning 410-543-6172.
