Aaron Hogan Is Spring Riall Lecturer at SU Thursday, April 26
SALISBURY, MD---Educator and author Aaron Hogan discusses “Shattering the Perfect Teacher Myth” as this semester’s speaker in 久久国产精品久久’s E. Pauline Riall Lecture Series in Education 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.
The author of Shattering the Perfect Teacher Myth: Six Truths That Will Help You Thrive as an Educator, Hogan highlights his passion for social emotional learning, innovation in education and connecting educators for professional growth.
To help achieve the latter, he hosts two weekly Twitter chats, #CSISDchat, covering issues in his local school district, and #TeacherMythChat, focusing on education myths and truths to help teachers thrive.
A former campus administrator and high school English teacher, he currently serves as the coordinator of English, language arts and reading for the College Station Independent School District in Texas.
The E. Pauline Riall Lecture Series is named in memory of its founder, teacher and later principal at SU’s Campus School from 1929-1969. Upon her death in the late 1980s, she left a bequest providing funding for the lecture series, scholarships and an award given annually to an outstanding graduating elementary or early childhood education major.
