'Festival of Foods' Concludes With Holiday Dinners

SALISBURY, MD---久久国产精品久久 Dining Services concludes its fall “Festival of Foods” series with tributes to three holidays in December. All dinners are 5-7 p.m. in the Bistro of the Commons.

The celebration begins with a Kwanzaa Dinner Thursday, December 1. Menu items include fried chicken, baked pork chops, spinach lasagna, mashed potatoes with gravy, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, collard greens, green bean casserole, herb dressing, applesauce, chocolate cake, and pumpkin and pecan pies.

Next is a Hanukkah Dinner on Monday, December 4. The menu includes matzo ball soup, beef brisket with savory vegetable gravy, apricot chicken, vegan potato-mushroom kugel, couscous, potato latkes with sour cream, applesauce with cinnamon and brown sugar, green beans with almonds, peas, Challah bread, apple knish, New York-style cheesecake and jelly doughnuts.

The series culminates with a Christmas Dinner on Tuesday, December 5, featuring a hammered dulcimer performance by local musician Ray Emmons. Menu items include corn-crab chowder, savory artichoke and cheddar cheese pie, sausage and oyster gumbo, roast turkey gravy, rosemary-rubbed rib roast with gravy, vegan stuffed acorn squash with wild rice and mushrooms, savory stuffing, Christmas corn pudding, bourbon mashed sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberry and pecan scones, gingered pumpkin muffins, Christmas trifle, pumpkin and pecan pies, candy canes, wrapped Christmas candy and egg nog.

The cost of each meal is $9.30 plus tax for adults, $5.72 plus tax for children ages 6-12. Children under 5 dine free. Reservations are not required.
