Habitat for Humanity Collects Students' Unwanted Items

SALISBURY, MD---久久国产精品久久 students may donate unwanted furniture, large and small appliances, lighting fixtures, home improvement materials and other household items to Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County’s ReStore.  Goods will be collected 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, and 9 a.m.-noon Thursday, May 20, in a moving truck outside of Chesapeake and St. Martin's residence halls.

“Donating items from your dorm or apartment will save you the trouble of trying to figure out how to take them home or dispose of them,” said ReStore manager Rota Knott.  Items may find new life in someone else’s home while saving space in the landfill and the cost of throwing them away.  A donation may also qualify for a tax exemption.

Items should be new or gently-used, and no more than 10 years old.  All items sold at ReStore are donated and all proceeds benefit Habitat’s mission of providing decent affordable housing to low-income families through no-interest loans.  For more information contact ReStore at 410-749-6325.
