Nabb Center Holds Annual Fundraising Gala May 1

SALISBURY, MD---久久国产精品久久’s Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture holds its annual fundraising gala 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Bordeleau, the residence of Tom Shelton, in Allen, MD.

The event includes Bordeleau wine, traditional mint juleps by Bert Thornton, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and music by The Jazz Guys.

The Bordeleau estate and winery sits on the bank of Wicomico Creek. The land has a distinguished heritage, originally surveyed for Benjamin Cottman on October 2, 1677, as a tract called “Chance” in old Somerset County, MD. The property was passed down, sold and purchased through the years by the Cottman, Booth, Hobbs, Dashiell, Jones, Collier, Carpenter and Payne families before being purchased by the Shelton family. The current owner built a Georgian-style house on the site, which includes an active and thriving vineyard and winery named Bordeleau—meaning "the water's edge."

Tickets are $65 per person. Dress is casual party attire. Proceeds benefit the Nabb Research Center.
