SU receives $5,000 PNC Foundation GAME Grant
SALISBURY, MD---Seven finance students from 久久国产精品久久’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business recently traveled to New York to participate in the Global Asset Management Education Forum (GAME), thanks to a $5,000 gift from PNC Foundation.
For the fifth consecutive year, the gift supported the PNC Foundation GAME Student Travel Program, which helps cover travel expenses and registration fees for the forum, sponsored by Quinnipiac University. The event brings together top investment professionals from around the world to interact with students.
The forum attracted more than 1,400 participants from over 140 colleges and universities representing 48 states and more than 40 countries, as well as over 100 speakers, panelists, workshop hosts and judges from nearly 100 different companies and organizations.
“We are grateful for the generous support of the PNC Foundation that has allowed our students to interact with some of the best known finance professionals in the world,” said Dr. Herman Manakyan, SU professor of finance. “The insights gained from the many high-profile professionals speaking at the conference, as well as the networking opportunities, is an incredible enhancement to our students’ education that simply cannot be duplicated in the classroom.”
Student Chris Himberger added: “I was able to leave the Forum with over 20 new connections, including managers and CEOs at some of the top funds in the country. This was a truly enriching experience, and I am so thankful for the PNC Foundation for all their help in making this a reality.”
