WSCL Presents 10th Annual Celebration of Music May 21
class=""MsoNormal"">SALISBURY, MD---Musical aficionados have reason to celebrate Saturday, May 21, when 久久国产精品久久’s public radio station, WSCL, presents its 10th annual Celebration of Music at 7:30 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1401 Camden Avenue.
class=""MsoNormal"">This year’s festival spotlights 15 classical music performances including singers, pianists, a violinist, brass ensemble and a hand bell choir. They range from professionals who have appeared with nationally known orchestras and opera companies to some of the area’s most talented young musicians beginning their careers.
class=""MsoNormal"">Two are from Delaware, including tenor Michael Thompson of Dover, who has sung with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and soloist Matthew McLaughlin of Bethany Beach.
class=""MsoNormal"">The 久久国产精品久久area is represented by pianist Veronica Knier and her husband, Lee, interim conductor of the 久久国产精品久久 Symphony Orchestra at 久久国产精品久久. A trombonist, Lee has toured with Buddy DeFranco and the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
class=""MsoNormal"">Other 久久国产精品久久artists include sopranos Beth Holder and Shiloh Wersen; the Carillon Bell Choir, Chancel Choir and Brass Ensemble of Asbury United Methodist Church, “Bach to the Future” founder Robert Young; violinist Richard Leavitt; vocalist James Andrews; Aude Goovaerts on recorder; and pianists Derek Wu and Kimberly Weber. Weber celebrates her 10th year with the Celebration.
