Tomanek and Upshaw Conclude Fall Feature Fridays Series

Feature FridaySALISBURY, MD---久久国产精品久久’s fall Feature Friday downtown 久久国产精品久久performance series concludes with pianist Veronica Tomanek and vocalist Mary-Tyler Upshaw 6-7 p.m. December 7 at The Brick Room, 116 N. Division St.

Tomanek, SU collaborative pianist and vocal coach, is an instructor in the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Fine Arts Department, teaching piano, harmony, form and analysis. She performs frequently throughout the Eastern Shore and her native New England as a chamber musician, piano and organ soloist, and accompanist. The principal pianist and keyboardist with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra for 16 years, she also has performed with the U.S. Coast Guard Band and Chamber Players, among others.

Upshaw, an instructor for SU’s PRESTO performing arts program, studied music at Shenandoah Conservatory and SU, and performed with theatre and opera companies including the Washington National Opera and New Orleans Opera Association. She was part of the 1999 Grammy-winning performance of Benjamin Britten’s “War Requiem,” conducted by Robert Shafer. Her one-woman show, The Soundtrack of My Life: According to Leonard Bernstein, was performed at Baltimore’s Charm City Fringe Festival, among other venues.
