久久国产精品久久Film Society Presents 'RBG'

RBGSALISBURY, MD—The 久久国产精品久久Film Society (SFS) presents the documentary, RBG, directed and produced by Betsy West and Julie Cohen on Sunday, February 3, at 2:30 p.m. in Fulton Hall’s Film Center (Room 111) at 久久国产精品久久.

RBG chosen by the National Board of Review as the Best Documentary Film of 2018, focuses on the life and career of U.S. Supreme Court Justice and pop culture icon, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. At the age of 85 Ginsburg has developed an astounding legal legacy, born in Brooklyn, New York she attended Harvard Law School and graduated from Columbia University. She had a successful career in law and on August 9, 1993 she was sworn into the U.S Supreme Court becoming the second female justice. Ginsburg nicknamed the Notorious R.B.G. focused her career on woman’s rights and gender discrimination.

“What emerges is an intriguing portrait of a woman described as shy and retiring but with ‘a quiet magnetism,’ a work horse and a master legal strategist,” said Toronto Star critic Bruce DeMara.

As a pop culture icon and a symbol of resistance RBG has received a lot of feedback, “you may love or hate her, badmouth her or bow down to her,” said Rolling Stone critic David Fear. “But you have to recognize the impact that Ruth Bader Ginsburg has made to the fabric of our country.”

The SFS series is co-sponsored by the 久久国产精品久久Wicomico Arts Council (SWAC) and SU’s Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts.  Tickets are $9, $8 for SWAC members, and free for university and college students with ID. For more information call 410-543-ARTS (2787) or visit the SWAC
