PRESTO Students Perform in Recital

PRESTOSALISBURY, MD---Students taking lessons through 久久国产精品久久’s PRESTO performing arts outreach program share their talents during recitals at 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

The students range in age from 7 to adult and in ability from beginner to advanced. They perform piano, violin, viola, cello, theatre, guitar, and voice works.

Selections include the “Allegro” movement from Telemann’s “Viola Concerto in G”; a vocal medley from The Sound of Music, The Little Mermaid and The Lion King; a theatrical soliloquy from Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night; and a guitar piece by Shawn Bell titled “A Simple Dialogue,” among others.

PRESTO instructors include faculty members Drs. Linda Cockey, Danielle Cumming, Sachi Murasugi and Nan Richerson, and Ted Nichols. Professional teachers are Maggie Jones, Martha Mancuso, Martha Pfeiffer, Bobbie Thamert, and Mary-Tyler Upshaw. SU student teachers include Anna Avrick, Katie Bobele, Sarah Butler, McCabe Dignam, Geneque Garrison, Patrick Gover, Hunter Lupro, Christopher Sajadi and Dylan Williams.

The PRESTO recitals offer a unique performance by musicians with varied levels of ability as well as the chance to learn more about the PRESTO program from present students and teachers. Receptions with light refreshments follow each performance.
