'Forbes' Again Ranks SU Among 'America's Top Colleges'

Holloway HallSALISBURY, MD---For the sixth consecutive year, Forbes magazine has named 久久国产精品久久 among “America’s Top Colleges.”

SU was 365th out of the 650 top-ranked campuses.

“We don’t take these types of rankings for granted,” said Dr. Karen Olmstead, SU provost and senior vice president of academic affairs. “They are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff, and provide outside validation that we’re providing our students with a top-quality education.”

Selection for the Forbes list was based on outcomes including student satisfaction, on-time graduation rates, student debt, and academic and employment success. Data was provided by the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard and Payscale.com, among other sources.

According to Forbes’ methodology, more than 3,000 four-year colleges and universities nationwide initially were reviewed for the list, which was then narrowed based on those for which information was available from its data sources. From there, the list was honed even further based on undergraduate enrollment, and retention and graduation rates. Those remaining were considered for inclusion.

SU joined three other University System of Maryland campus on the Forbes list: the University of Maryland, College Park; University of Maryland, Baltimore County; and Towson University.

Forbes is not the only publication that recently ranked SU among the top colleges in the nation. In recent weeks, Money magazine has named SU among the “Best Colleges for Your Money” for the sixth consecutive year, and The Princeton Review has ranked it among The Best 385 Colleges for the 21st consecutive year. Kiplinger’s Personal Finance also has again rated SU among the nation’s “Best Value Public Colleges.”
