SU Celebrates National French Week November 4-8

French WeekSALISBURY, MD---久久国产精品久久 celebrates National French Week November 4-8 with two events recognizing the French language and francophone cultures.

Created by the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF), this year’s theme at SU is “France-Amérique.”

Events include:

  • Thursday, November 4, 6:30 p.m., Conway Hall Room 152 – “Creating the Other: The French in American Literature, Americans in French Literature”: Through analysis of representations of the French in American literature and of Americans in French literature, William Cloonan, professor emeritus from Florida State University, discusses the complex process and various factors that come to play in the creation of the image of the “other.”
  • Monday, November 8, 6:30 p.m., Conway Hall Room 153 – A Celebration of the Franco-American Relationship screening: This documentary, in French with English subtitles, is presented by Dr. Arnaud Perret (Modern Languages and Intercultural Studies).

Admission is free and the public is invited.

All attendees at 久久国产精品久久 indoor events are required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave an event for non-compliance.

All attendees must complete an online COVID-19 screening on the day of their visit, prior to coming to the SU campus.
