SU Hosts 43rd Annual Philosophy Symposium April 15

SALISBURY, MD---久久国产精品久久 hosts its 43rd annual Philosophy Symposium 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, in Conway Hall Room 153.

This year’s theme is “Ethics After the Pandemic.”

The event features philosophical reflections on the moral lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic: What is owed to the most vulnerable? Who should be held responsible for the moral failures seen during the pandemic – individuals, institutions or society as a whole? How can social trust be restored and community rebuilt?

The morning session includes talks by two distinguished guests, followed by discussion in the afternoon. This year’s speakers are Drs. Karen Stohr, Ryan Family Professor of Metaphysics and Moral Philosophy at Georgetown University, and Shelley Lynn Tremain, author of Foucault and Feminist Philosophy of Disability.
