Award-Winning State House Journalist Dennison Speaks November 13
SALISBURY, MD---Discussing the winners, the losers and the effects of the Maryland 2006 election, award-winning State House journalist Tom Dennison speaks at 久久国产精品久久 1 p.m. Monday, November 13, in the Gull’s Nest of Guerrieri University Center.
Titled “The 2006 State Elections: Winners, Losers and Fallout,” Dennison’s informal roundtable discussion will analyze the outcome of November 7 statewide elections and assess their effect on Maryland’s political climate and future policies. Before the talk, he will give a lecture to a state and local government class taught by Dr. Harry Basehart, of the Political Science Department.
Dennison is the State House bureau chief of the Gazette Newspapers, which are based in Montgomery County. He covered this year’s gubernatorial campaigns, as well as 2002 campaigns and several sessions of the Maryland General Assembly.
The St. Mary’s County resident was formerly the chief political correspondent for the Gazette’s Southern Maryland newspapers. In 2003, he was the inaugural recipient of the Gazette’s Reporter of the Year Award and his work has been recognized several times by the Maryland-Delaware-DC Press Association. Originally from DuBois, PA, Dennison is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
