The freezing rain is expected to mix with rain after 5 a.m., changing over to all rain by mid-morning. Wind gusts as high as 25 mph are predicted.

SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Wicomico County and surrounding areas through noon Saturday, December 17.

An arctic air mass spreading throughout the region is expected to drop wind chills into the 20s on Thursday, December 15, and to temperatures near zero on Friday morning, December 16.

A “wintry mix” of precipitation, including sleet and freezing rain, is forecasted late Friday night into early Saturday morning, making a light accumulation of ice possible on roadways, according to the NWS. Precipitation is expected to change over to all rain by 8 a.m. Saturday.
