Institute for Retired Persons Spring Speakers Announced
SALISBURY, MD---The Institute for Retired Persons (IRP) at 久久国产精品久久 meets at 2 p.m. Tuesdays during the semester at SU’s Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art. Scheduled speakers this spring include:
• January 26: Jack Willing – “The Future of Skipjacks and Wooden Boatbuilding”
• February 2: Tom Shelton – “Building a Winemaking Tradition on Delmarva”
• February 9: Dr. Sarah Surak – “Waste Management and Sustainable Choices for the Future”
• February 16: Andrew Kitzrow – “Delmarva Parks and Recreation: Past History, Current Offerings and Future Directions”
• February 23: William Turner – “Options for Expanding Opportunities for the Learning Disabled”
• March 1: Robert Johnson: “Cultural Transmission of Styles from Meso-America and Ethiopian Themes”
• March 8 – Norman Conway: “Reflections on a Life of Public Service”
• March 15: Drs. Catherine Smoot-Hazelnus and Roger Merrill – “The Paradigm Shift in the Delivery of Health Services — Different Initiatives”
• March 22: Dr. Tom Elliot: “The Life of Beethoven”
• March 29: Jacob Day: “A New Beginning for the City of Salisbury”
• April 5: Therese Hamilton: “Promoting the Arts on Delmarva”
• April 12: Caroline Farrell – “Wellness Screening”
• April 19: Dr. Ronald Dotterer – “How to Read a Poem Without Pain”
• April 26: Bill Satterfield – “The Significance and Future of the Poultry Industry on Delmarva”
The series culminates with the institute’s annual spring luncheon on May 3.
