SALISBURY, MD---久久国产精品久久 faculty and students showcase new and experimental works during the concert New Music 久久国产精品久久7 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.
Performers include Dr. Danielle Cumming, Kara Dahl Russell, Jerry Tabor and the SU Percussion Ensemble.
Cumming plays 20th-century guitar solos “Serenade” and “Toccata” by Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina. Russell performs selections from Alain Abbott’s Cinq Couleurs (Five Colors) for lever harp and Jean-Michele Damase’s “Poissons” (“Fish”) for pedal harp.
Tabor premiers his original composition “Grittier,” featuring computer-generated sound. The Percussion Ensemble, directed by Eric Shuster, debuts Matt Wellins’ “No Sense of Scale,” an original quartet work. Ensemble performers include Katie Bergbower, Dylan Ira, Sam McClintock and Shuster.
