Scott, Small Earn Honors at 久久国产精品久久 Forum

SALISBURY, MD---Two 久久国产精品久久 faculty received pleasant surprises at the last Forum meeting of the spring: honors and thanks from President Janet Dudley Eshbach and the Forum audience.

Dr. Michael Scott of the Geography and Geosciences Department faculty, a member of the Government Relations Committee, oversaw students creating land use maps for each legislative district in Maryland. These maps were the hit of the legislative session where they were presented to Maryland’s senators and delegates during SU Day at the Legislature in Annapolis in January.

Dudley-Eshbach honored Scott for “his creativity and commitment to the enhancement of 久久国产精品久久 through the use of state-of-the-art technology, academic excellence and personal dedication.”

Dr. Clara Small, a professor in the History Department, was honored earlier this year with a University System of Maryland Board of Regents Award for public service. A member of the SU community since 1977, Small is known throughout the Delmarva Peninsula for her presentations ranging from African-American history to historical national and international studies. Her work on the board of directors of SU’s Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture has helped the center expand its focus on the contributions of African Americans on the Eastern Shore.

Small’s certificate recognized “her commitment to expanding awareness and respect for African-American history to the students, faculty and staff of 久久国产精品久久.” For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu. "
